GOODTIMES: CHRIS MILLER'S BRITPOP HOMECOMING

Butt Magazine pinup Chris Miller touched down in New York City last week in hopes of taking up personal training, beekeeping, bartending and maybe a little go-go dancing. We welcomed him back with a special Britpop homecoming gathering at our Wednesday Good Times party at Eastern Bloc and Chris even served up British snacks and Marmite sandwiches.

Celebutard Mike A. moonlights as a school teacher but his real passion is night clubbing and hair burning.

I am forgiving Devin (right) for getting too caught up in the Jesus Jones to come back to the DJ booth and say hey for a second. Right here, right now Devin.

Mike V., demonstrating how he would give bear hugs if he were in fact a bear.

Something about this photo feels very LA tourist to me. Like, the tank top with the surf board in the middle of January.

Three plaids, two cute boys, all in one photo for your viewing pleasure courtesy of Kevin (left) and Jacob.

DRAKKAR NOIR, BITCHES!

I love love love that he wore a Joy Division tshirt to our britpop party even though I only played Love Will Tear Us Apart (like, 4 times).

The remnants of the musical duo that was Junior Senior.

The man of the hour, Mr. Christopher Miller (right) with the DJ man of the decade, Sammy Jo, who was living for my Soup Dragons set.

What ever is the status of Benji's (right) annual Valentine's Day par-tay? Just in case it doesn't happen, I'm doing TWO v-day events: Blondie Good Times (Feb. 11) with special guest Micahel T. and a disco one-off (!!!) called Love Hangover with the one and only Gant Johnson on Feb. 15. Three-day weekend, y'all!

We heart Uniqlo.

Eric, Geoff and Bill, chanting, "WE WANNA SLEEP WITH COMMON PEOPLE LIKE YOU!"

Aron's friend on the left was dying to hear the Jam, though my vision of Britpop was more along the lines the Farm. And Steps.

There really ain't no party like an S-Club party.

Romper stompers and a girl who likes boys to be girls who do boys like they're girls who do girls like they're boys.

DJ SUGARTITS (right), who now dresses windows for a living and rarely makes nightlife appearances. Love me some sugartits.

And speaking of famous DJs, Lapo (left) was the "it" Italo DJ of Florence back in the day but now just hangs out and waits for me to play Umberto Tozzi and Gary Low and Giorgio Moroder.

Chris, servin' them Marmite sandwiches like the lovely lad he is.

Steve (left) and Brendan, hoping that tonight is the night when 2 becomes 1.

A) Luis! aka DJ Uncut (right) is apparently back from Puerto Rico. B) I would not be able to go on living without the inspiration that is Michael (center) and Charles (left) aka Magnan and Bunsie.

GOOD TIMES CARD TRICK REALNESS!

These Charming Men, once a Smiths song, is now being embodied by Andre (left) and Ricky.

The JC, Paul and Russian crew, getting ready to do a big dance routine to Siouxsie's Peek-A-Boo where Paul pops out of a big cake wearing a slinky string tank top.

OH SHIT! Mr. Black is in the muthafuckin' hizz-ouse!!! I had no idea that Nita (left) knew every single word to Parklife or that Nelson (second from left) jammed out to Bjork in the school playground circa sixth grade.

Gary (left) and Cameron, who lost it when I threw on my favorite Kenickie tune. Kenickie 4EVA.

Steven (right, with Richard and friend), wondering how soon is now.

The ever-adorable Gabriel (left, with Nathan), hoping to get Laid. As in the James song. Get your mind out of the gutter.

Okay, so Paul (left) didn't really do a peek-a-boo out of a cake (yet) but he did rock a tank and along with Jason's Do the Right Thing biker cap, it felt like 1989 meets Manchester.

Speaking of Manchester, say Yippee-ippee-ey-ey-ay-yey-yey!

Pondering what I'll play next week for my New Edition and its spawn party, featuring Bobby Brown, Bell Biv Devoe AND Johnny Gill. Rub you the right way indeed!

Sex(y) and the City. Loving Chris' outift change halfway through the night, as well as his friend Roberto (right), who kept requesting something "a little more 80s."

Did I mention that gays love Britpop?! Definitely one of the most bumpin' Good Times to date.

Who is that handsomeness on the left and why isn't he moshing along to Elastica like his friends?

DJ Kindbud (aka Buddy G.) usually has to DJ on Wednesdays, which is maybe why he sent over his doppelganger here on the right.

And yes, I did play Stay by Shakespeare's Sister, which is probably when dude on the right asked dude on the left to Stay With Me, to which dude on the left said "you better hope and pray, that you make it safe back to your own world" (aka Brooklyn.)

Dashing young men known as Nita (left) and Ned, pulling off the Brandon Walsh hairdos of yesteryear with amazing style and grace.

Charlie, giving Bette Davis Eyes.

I know its been kicking around for a while now, but I'm still living for the bowtie and cardigan combo.

Douggie (right, with Roberto) let me crash at his place in London many moons ago. Now he lives in NYC and has invited me to DJ at his straight-but-not narrow bar this Saturday on St. Marks off Avneue A called Ten Degrees. Come drink with us.

Welcome back to New York City Christopher! Methinks you will like it here a lot.

What you composed was actually very reasonable. But, what about
this? what if you composed a catchier title? I ain't saying your content is not solid, but suppose you added something that grabbed folk's attention?
I mean "GOODTIMES: CHRIS MILLER'S BRITPOP HOMECOMING" is kinda
plain. You should glance at Yahoo's home page and note how they create news titles to grab viewers interested. You might add a video or a related picture or two to grab people excited about what you've written.

Just my opinion, it might bring your blog a little livelier.
