OH, TO DJ HIGH TEA IN THE FIRE ISLAND PINES

I was sent standardized instructions before DJing High Tea in the Fire Island Pines last night which more or less, read as follows:

It is important to keep your music predominantly main stream, without forgetting something from the latest Top 40 or legendary anthem. Keep your set lively, and energetic, with lots of vocals and choruses that people can sing along to. Choose fun mixes to Top 40, but make sure they aren’t at all “boom boom” or dark...and make sure they don’t go on forever. Think New, Now, Next!

When I think top 40, I think top 40 from the past 40 years (Ashford & Simpson to Kylie Minogue! I mean, she's top 40 everywhere else, right?) but apparently Lady Gaga is still very much the rage in the hearts of the Pines partygoers and promoters. More lovegames to come on June 5 at the underwear party.
