CHARLA NASH IS MY HERO

I've been obsessed with Charla Nash's story ever since she first came to the media's attention two years ago when her best friend's 200 lb. chimpanzee severely mauled her face and hands. Yes, I'm obsessed with the chimp too (he used to go online, drink wine, direct traffic and was on Xanax at the time of the mauling) as well as the chimp's owner (creepy! My friend Mikey alleges that the owner was totally sleeping with the chimp), but Charla is the true star of this story. And now that the chimp and chimp's owner are both deceased, Charla has pending lawsuits against the owner's estate and the state of Connecticut. Other than that, Charla is on the remarkable road to recovery and hopes to one day get a face transplant. How incredible. We very much love Charla here at Twerking and look to her for inspiration in our every day lives.
