Oh. OH.

My friend Mike moved to Beirut in September to get a Masters in something. I'm not even sure he knows what kind of degree he's getting, but he figured it'd be better than slaving away at a job in New York for another year. Then that whole war thing happened, but Mike is determined to make it in the Middle East, even if it means dressing in drag and performing his favorite Haifa or Dana numbers. Come home soon. Alive.

I kept meaning to ask you how Mike was in Lebanon, and now I am aware. Another reason this blog is changing lives. And Mike, if you're reading this, I hope the war didn't change the slightly lost/idealistic Westerner in Beirut stereotype you were meant to fulfill.

Dear Josh,
what a nice suprise. You are right, I am still not sure what it is I am studying. From what I can gather so far, it has something to do with waste management and human cell permiability, across the phospholipid bi-layer of the cell membrane that is. Eid mubarak a la kul al muslameen alate ukraou haada blog. Also why is it that my eyes have seemed to have disapeared in those pictures you have of me. Thanks for asking Diana, the war did not change the slightly lost/idealistic westerner stereotype that was meant to fulfill. How you doin girl?
